Accessing and inspecting confined spaces can be challenging, time-consuming and potentially dangerous for the people doing the job.
Just in last quarter, KTSB piloted the use of drone technology to conduct an internal visual inspection of a 25.meter diameter sphere tank. The team selected Elios collision tolerance drone with full HD camera because it provides clear images for vessel internal inspection.
The drone initiative eliminates additional costs that would have been incurred by means of the conventional method which requires a vast amount of scaffolding and manpower for confined space activity. More importantly, this is a safer option.
